Matt Glenn

Matt Glenn will be exhibiting new work during our exhibition this January.

Matt Glenn's images and installations seek to discuss the duality of frailty and beauty.
Remnants of fleeting moments, and occlusions of what may lay just out of reach (or sight)
dominate the themes surrounding Glenn's practice.

The minimal picture planes in Glenn's works are often jilted with a disruptive act - bullet holes adorn the surfaces of metallic or brightly painted objects, baring their violent exit wounds to the viewer. They record a distinct action or event, an acute moment in time- frozen in a perhaps futile attempt to preserve the perishable.

Matt Glenn graduated with an MA from Sydney College of the Arts in 2006. Based in London, he has exhibited in Australia, New York, Cologne, Paris and Berlin.

Matt Glenn is represented by James Dorahy Project Space, Sydney
